tourist offices and information points | MONS
Situated at the foot of the 'Massif du Caroux', at the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Haut Languedoc, Mons-La-Trivalle is a village full of charm and an exceptional tourist spot.
It has approximately 530 inhabitants living either in the village or its hamlets (Ornac, La Voulte, Héric, La Coste, Le Verdiere Haut...) which are grouped around Mons (the mountain) and La Trivalle (the three valleys).
Mostly known for the 'Massif du Caroux' and the magnificent Gorges d'Héric, a site of rare natural beauty, Mons-La-Trivalle is an ideal starting point for hikers and climbers.
It is also the start of the 'voie verte', the old railway line, which has been transformed into a cycle track running as far as Corniou, but is also used by walkers and horse riders.
