tourist offices and information points | SAINT-GERVAIS SUR MARE

A stop on the Saint Jacques de Compostella pilgrim route, St. Gervais sur Mare is located in the foothills of Caroux-Espinouse and Monts d'Orb, in the Regional Natural Park of High Languedoc, the starting point for numerous hikes and with the possibility of guided tours:
- discover the medieval quarter of Pioch with its nail-making workshops and castle ruins... and modern St. Gervais, a prosperous village until the mid-twentieth century thanks to coal mining, various local industries and commerce.
- Visit the 'Maison Cévenole' Arts and Popular Traditions museum, dedicated to the ‘lost trade’ of the cooper who made hoops of chestnut wood for barrels – emblematic of the town.
- Visit to Castrum de Neyran (11th - 14th century).
