1.Cévennes / Pic St Loup to the North East:
A mountainous zone well known for its wine and regional produce as well as the many water sport activities on its Gorges and rivers.
2. Montpellier and Petite Camargue to the South East:
Montpellier is the dynamic and lively capital city of the Languedoc and the area following the mediterranean coast to the east towards the Camargue is famous for its many beaches, flamingos and bull farming.
3.Pays de Thau and Pays de Pézenas to the South.
Thau is a magnificent salt water lake famous for its seafood production. Pézenas is the birth place of Molière.
4. Pays de Béziers to the South West.
Béziers was for a long time the wine capital of the Languedoc and is famous for its "châteaux pinardiers" magnificent wine estates as well as its bull fighting arena and Summer Feria.
5. Coeur d'Hérault to the North:
A place of traditions, regional produce and culture with lots of pretty villages nested on the hills.
6.Vignobles (vineyards) to the West::
Vines as far as you can see and some of the most famous "cru" of the Languedoc.
7. Haut Languedoc to the North West::
Location of one of the most beautiful national parks of France. For nature lovers, hikers, botanists, climbers....
