wine | CRUZY
Anchored in the history, the castle of Sériège is an extravagance of the architectural heritage from the Languedoc. It was built in 1884 by Alexandre d'Andoque a big wine-making owner of the end of the second empire, who dedicated it his fortune. Its very fashionable eclectic style of period consisted in mixing elements borrowed from various architectural schools. So this magnificent building pulls its inspiration of the French and Italian revival and the neoclassicism for a totally inimitable overall view.
The domain extends over more than 120 hectares in the village of Cruzy between Black Mountain and the Mediterranean sea. On the hillside, vineyards are facing South West for an optimal sunshine exposition. All the variety of vines of Sériège are converted into wine in the cellar of the domain. Outcome of a selection of slopes' parcels for a better maturity of grapes, vineyards are rooted on an argilo-calcareous ground, which confers them power and sharpness. The domain suugests you to discover a complete range of red, rosé and white wines as well as a traditional method such as champagne.
