Inaugurated in 2012, the ecomuseum of early life is housed in the former school of the village. Its purpose is to house and conserve the collection of, and provide the inventory and valuation for, documents and artifacts relating to the village's history – its working life, craftsmanship, and its various social and commercial activities. Striking a balance between an interactive museum and a library, it aims to recapture the magic of Puisserguier during the last century. In a reconstituted classroom where writing is the lesson, one can picture students filling their nibbed pens with purple ink and sitting at the old wooden desks. In the playground, they would have played the once popular childhood games of hopscotch and skipping. In other areas, a grocery store, a haberdashery, a blacksmith's, a garage...
