museum | LATTES
The archaeological museum is situated close to ancient Lattara, an important port on the western Mediterranean. Located on the former delta of a coastal river called the Lez (Ledum Flumen), it was occupied from VI c. BC to III c. AD. The results of excavations in Lattes led by Henri Prades with the Painlevé Archaeological Group (since 1963) and the multidisciplinary scientific team C.N.R.S. (since 1983), are presented in the museum.
The museum team suggests you to organize your upcoming events for business while being surrounded by a magnificent collection of over 1.500 objects presented on nearly 1.000 m2 and an exceptional natural environment.
