Exceptional and underestimated heritage, the Lodève apothecary is the second in Hérault, preserved "in situ" with the one in Montpellier called the "Oeuvre de la Miséricorde''.
The visit allows to realise the significance of the hospital in previous centuries and the relationship of this institution with its donors. The visit also includes a talk about heritage and paintings from the 19th centuries which decorate the walls of the old hospital.
Restored a few years ago, the apothecary possesses a pharmacy representing very numerous glass and porcelain jars in a remarkable state of preservation.
